Hi folks,

Check out Jim explaining how each element of the Australian Garden plays a role in the metaphorical ‘journey of water’…

Congratulations all round

Hi folks,

A big thank you to all who have sent such lovely messages of congratulations. On-site at Chelsea, there’s been plenty of hugs and handshakes for the team as they proudly show off the garden to visitors.

The Gold Medal!

Hi folks,

Drum roll, please…. here’s the Gold Medal – almost two years in the making, all of us here at the RBG are incredibly proud to be bringing this home.

Many thanks to our sponsors and supporters – the State Government of Victoria (Premier Supporter), Macquarie Group (Major Sponsor), Maxwell & Williams (Associate Sponsor), Tourism Victoria (Associate Supporter), City of Casey (Associate Supporter), and R.M.Williams (Official Outfitter). Without your support and enthusiasm, this would not have been possible.

Images from Chelsea

Hi folks,

Here’s some pics from Press Day at Chelsea, where we welcomed Aussie classical guitarist Craig Ogden to perform in the Australian Garden. Craig is about to launch his new album, Summertime, in the UK.

Thanks to our UK-based PR agency, four bgb, for supplying these great informal images – as you can see below, they did a great job of celebrity spotting! Don’t forget to check out our Flickr feed, Facebook page and You Tube channel for more pics:

The Australian Garden takes Chelsea by storm!

Hi folks,

What a huge couple of days we’ve had here at the RBG! Many, many thanks to everyone who has sent emails, Tweets and Facebook messages of congratulations – we really appreciate it.

The Australian Garden has scored lots of positive media coverage both here in Australia and in the UK, with the Guardian newspaper in the UK saying today that:

“By consent, the most appropriate show garden exhibit was said to be the Australian Garden, brought over from Melbourne. With London having received less rainfall in May than Alice Springs, its red sand, salt sculptures, water hole and dry riverbed may just be the future of gardening in Chelsea.”

High praise indeed!

Here’s just a sampling of the coverage:
